The best way to use this mold is to move the top plate a little bit after fill every hole. This means that there is no need to use a woodhammer for opening at the end. The bullets are easy to eject, I could then easily remove them from the cylinder with a heat-resistant glove. I’m very satisfied

I purchased this mold for a Colt New Service .455 Eley. With my range scrap alloy bullets weigh 229gr HB and 257gr solid. Diameter is uniformly .455″ even all the way out to the small nose radius. Essentially this is a full diameter wadcutter with no bore riding nose as the picture may (or may not) appear to your eyes. Not problematic for the intended use of this bullet. Just be aware there is no way you will be able to run these in a semi-auto on the off chance you wanted to try (I loaded some feeding dummies in .45acp brass to try “just because” knowing full well they likely would not work). Likely may work well sized to throats in .45auto rim though.

I’m pleased with this mould. I find that it throws regular and consistent projectiles. The mould doesn’t take long to get to operating temperature and works really well once it achieves this temperature. The projectiles fall from the mould with ease. It’s a true session mould, I’ve run this mould nonstop for several hours with no problems.
