Integrate a handle to cut the spur as other manufactures do, it will keep the mold newer. I love your molds so far. I have not used the 358 mold yet but I expect it to be the same as this mold.

I have had the pleasure of casting with several MP molds that a friend owns. This is my first purchase from MP and will not be the last! The quality is outstanding and the amount of “extras” like the top punch and different hollow point tips included with the mold is nothing short of amazing. The shipping was fast and I had my mold in 7 days. The .45 270 SAA is one of the all time great molds for .45 Colt. I cast mine with lyman #2 alloy and they weigh +/- 280gr powder coated with bacon grease powder coat. With 10.5gr of Power Pistol they average 950 fps from my 4″ 625 Mountain Gun. Accuracy is 6 shots in 2″ at 25 yards which is good for me since the sights are increasingly hard to see! I highly recommend MP Molds!

my second mold , excellent mold preforms top notch ,brass are heavier as expected but throws top notch bullets need to bump temp 20 degrees to get good fill with no folds.pid type controller on pot makes life much easier the combination of the two upgrades are making casting a real joy. the 270 grain 45 COLT is a real thumper Well done and service is very quick.

The mold I ordered came lightning fast. Impressive delivery speed. After heat treating 4 times the mold cast beautiful bullets. She likes to run hot, so I heated on a hot plate instead of top of pot. These bullets still need to be crimped over front shoulder to fit my remington 1875 uberti. With 20:1 alloy the solids weigh 287gr and the hollow points drop around 280gr. Overall a great mold, very impressed with this mold.
