      Not completely new to casting, I have experience with about 15 aluminium and steel molds, including hollow based ones. No problem with any of those. This brass HP seems to be perfectly machined but casting a perfect bullet is very difficult. It needs very high working temperature and despite the high temperature I cannot achieve sharp, well defined lube grooves. Bullet never falls off by its own weight. I did my research but could not determine the problem. I will likely avoid brass molds next time if possible.

      Followed all instructions to prepare mold , then started pouring and once up to temperature the mold started dropping .455 projectiles, good quality , ie no need to size bullets. The pins do take some getting used to. Overall really pleased with its performance.

      I am still amazed at how quickly I had your mould in my hand – seven days. The mould cast easily and the tips are the best I have for the .455. The only negative is the weight of the four cavity which speeds casting fatigue, but I am working on ways to minimize this issue. Thanks.

      A beautiful mold well made. It took quite a deal of use before it started to produce usable projectiles as it would break the skirts of the bullet when separating from the mold. After that the stems that hold the inserts to form the minie bent making it hard to close the mold for a proper edge to edge fit. {I have not used excessive force hitting it}. I will now need to disassemble all of it again to straighten the stems before further use , may i suggest that these stems should be made much thicker, It took a great deal of time to cast 25 good projectiles. I am sure after more practice i will get better results and perhaps only cast two at a time. Thank you also for the quick postage and again a beautiful mold.

      Truly exceptional quality mold! Not just a superb piece of precision machining but a comprehensive kit of extras to cast solid or hollow base bullets. The brass molds are simply the best I’ve ever seen (and have a lot!) the polished blued steel cut-off plate is a measure of the quality. The 4 cavity throws stunning bullets.
      You will never find better!

      Here in the USA I had a hard time finding the correct bullets or a mold for them. I had just about given up on being able to shoot my Webley revolver, and then I happened upon MP-Molds. I was pretty happy until I received the mold; then I was amazed. I do a pretty good amount of machining in the machine shop at the plant I work at, and I can recognize top quality work. This mold is outstanding! Not only is the machine work and fit top notch, it is a work of art. I can’t wait to use it and finally get to use my Webley revolver.       excellent workmanship in this mold, it took a bit of practice to get used to a nose pour brass mold but once I got it figured out it produced perfect bullets with perfect weight. I am using stick on wheel weights plus a bit of tin to fill out the grooves.

      Great product and even better customer service. I think it was my fault (lead had too much antimony, i didnt know it had any oops) that the nose on one of the cavities got deformed. No questions asked they sent me a new mold, shipped FREE and a link to tips and tricks for brass molds. Great company and now tha I’ve read the directions the product works great!
