excellent product with amazing delivery !
Perfect bullets after getting mold up to right temperature. Makes a pile of them in a very short time.
Overall very happy with this 8 cavity mold, precisely made with the typical, superior MP moulds quality. Bullets are round and uniform in shape and mass. You can cast a pile of bullets very efficiently.
Two reasons it gets 4 stars and not 5.
#1 one of the alignment pins was very sticky, even when appropriately lubed with MP mould oil. I fixed it by very gently rubbing around the pin with 800 grit emery paper. #2 is a feature of the bullet itself. The deep lube and crimp grooves will cause this bullet to “hang on” to the mould. The softer the alloy and the cooler the alloy, the less of a problem this is. It responds to a few taps with the wooden mallet on the hinge pin.
Do not let either of these issues deter you from purchase. I have 7 different MP moulds with thousands of bullets cast. They are my most consistent moulds and this one is no different.
Excellent craftsmanship
Bullets are beautiful, but hard to release from the mold. Might be because of the large lube area. Pleased with fast shipping and quality of mold, but with #2 alloy hard to release all rounds.
