It was my first 8 cavity mold. Absolutely faster than the 18 one you normally see, since no need to cut apart. Roundness was perfect, and MP molds are really top notch for build quality and materials. Now I have several mold from MP and all are masterpieces!

With this mould you can easily cast .320 lead balls (8,1mm) for #0 Buck.
The pellets cast with this mould fall out of the mould almost by themselves, occasionally supported by a light tap with a piece of wood, and are then ready for loading (after cooling). I don’t have to cut something off first, as is the case with products from some competitors. This ensures that work is done quickly. I have weighed a few balls with my fine balance and found almost no differences.
If you enjoy casting Buckshot you should buy such a mould.

I will never use another mold that requires me to cut off the sprue. This mold leaves a small piece of sprue that is about the same size as one after cutting them off of other molds. This mold skips snipping sprues. Tumbled for 12 hours overnight with a small piece of pencil graphite. They look like shiny black pearls. They measure a true .32″ after tumbling. Very few imperfections on any of them. I suggested he make a .24″ caliber. That would sell quickly.

Have been waiting for the weather to get better to test some of these, I expect they will perform as well as the others. This is the only aluminum mold I’ve gotten from MP, but I’ve adjusted the heating on aluminum in the past.
