Mold works like a dream.

I’ve shot many other casters H&G #68 bullets in my 1911 .45 ACPs for decades. It’s usually the most accurate bullet to use in a 1911 style pistol. This is a standard load used by competition bullseye shooters for many decades. The workmanship and quality of materials is excellent on this mold. I like the brass construction over many other cheaper brands aluminum as well. Buy with confidence.
That load is as followed:
Mixed .45 ACP brass cases trimmed to 0.888″
H&G #68 200 grain LSWC sized 0.452″ I use range recovery lead from backstops and bullet traps. You don’t need super hard bullets for this mold and load to work. Anything from 8-12 BHN is more than plenty hard enough. You see many commercial casters doing 16..18..20 BHN. That’s way too hard and one of the reasons I started casting my own. It’s done primarily for shipping purposes rather than performance. Less returns and damage in shipment are solely the reason regardless what they tell you.
COL 1.250″
0.469″ Taper crimp
4.8 – 5.0 grains Alliant Bullseye powder
Winchester WLP large pistol primer seated 0.002 below flush
Case gauged and pass “plunk test”
This load will shoot 1″ or better at 25 yards all day long given the pistol and shooter are capable.

Very high quality mold. It is heavy when coming from aluminum 2 cavity molds, but no fatigue with my first cast of 250 bullets. The projectiles, cast from wheel weights, average 202.1 gn and are within 1 gn in variance. Very happy with the upgrade from my other Lee molds. In addition, was shipped to the states within a week at very reasonable shipping costs. Will definitely buy more molds from here.

Shipping was very quick. The mold is the best finished I have ever seen. I gave it to a friend to use as this time of year I don’t have time for it. He put it on the mantle and said, “it is too nice to use”.

I love this mold. The quality is amazing. Fit and finish is perfect. Shipping was quick and flawless, unlike some others that I have experienced lately.
Thank you, Miha

Heated in up the toaster over 4x at 375f. The next weekend it was placed on my lead pot while both came up to temp 730. It took about 6 pours for the mold to come up to temp and the next 1000 bullets just dropped free. Beautiful.
