Nice piece of work! It casts easy, (perhaps a little tendancy of galling), it drops beautiful bullets but I’m a little disappointed: I was expecting 460″ bullets, but with 1/16 lead to tin alloy I measure them at .461″ / .462″.

Only minor issue is that with the large hollow point pins they are dropping 418gr and with gas check and lube they are 430gr using coww alloy
Not the 405 i was after
But they cast amazingly well and are true to .460 size
The machining and finish is incredible

I have over 25 MP Molds by now and this one is as good as all the rest. Heat cycle bare/cleaned brass mold a few times to develop some surface oxidation to facilitate clean drops. Mold takes some time to heat up to drop fully filled cavities so pre-heat if you want to get there faster. Machining is outstanding and if you know how to run a brass mold, there is no better.

Very good mold love how it cast bullets best quality mold ive ever had. And super fast shipping like 2 days to michigan. I shoot them from my airforce texan at around 980 fps has a high bc carrys lethal hunting energy very far as long as you know your drop comes with 2 types of hollowpoint pins triapazoid, and regular circle ones and also u can cast flat points. This is my favorite bullet for hunting from my texan like it better than any bullets ive bought from anyone and also like the gas check as any imperfections or dents on the gas check dont touch the barrel anyway which improves accuracy! I prefer the smaller hollowpoint for exspansion and penetration as i cast out of pure lead.

Great mould that shoots very well out of my original trapdoor rifles and carbine. The hollow points are exceptionally accurate which was surprising to me, I would have thought the solid plug would have been. The hollow points also expand very nicely at black powder velocities. It’ll be a great deer bullet. I can’t believe how fast the shipping was. I will be buying more moulds from mp. I hope they make an original govt’ style 500 grain .462 bullet eventually.
