Very nice mould. Classic Keith design. Cast a little hotter @720°F for perfect bullets.

My new preferred .44 Mag boolit

Ran mold 6/20/2020, Washed operating surfaces with tooth brush and Palmolive dish soap. Sparingly lubed locating pins, swivel and stop pin. Molded Linotype alloy.

Scrap was high. Ran 100 bullets after warm up, kept 47 of them. Scrap was due to knit lines and small unfills in the nose and major diameter areas, which occurred from start to finish through the casting session. Some of these occurred even though the base of the bullet was frosted.

Bullet diameters ran quite a bit oversize, from 0.433″ to 0.435″ with about 0.0005″ additional variation for concentricity. I had hoped for the mold’s rated size, 0.432″, as I was going to size to 0.431″ diameter. This mold leaves a lot more material to be forced through the sizing die than the recommended 0.0005″ to 0.001″ size reduction.

Bullet weight varied widely, from 220.2 gr. to 224.5 gr., which is way low to the mold’s 260 grain nominal weight. From the density data I was able to find, a 260 grain wheel weight bullet should cast at 250.3 grains with Linotype metal.

This is my second brass mold, and the other one did not run well either. Starting to wonder about the suitability of brass as a mold material.

      All in all very disappointed.

cast beautiful true keith style 44s these drop at 254 with my alloy and are extreamly accurate out of my flat top with the skeeter load. easy on brass as well love the crimp grove and driving bands on this bullet. wish they had the penta hp version available!!

This mold is a work of art in solid brass. The machining is impeccable. Very happy with this purchase. Shipping to the USA was only five days to my front door.

I ordered the mold and it was shipped immediately. I still haven’t received it because iut is in US customs. It has been there over 2 weeks. I have called DHS shipping and can’t get any help. Very frustated at this point. Please help from your end.

This makes my 5th mold from MP and just as the others I prize it. Every mold drops great bullets and this one is no exception. The bullets drop right out and weigh 285 with my (range lead) alloy. This is exactly what I expected and am very pleased with it. This mold (and one other) were shipped via UPS and arrived to my door within a week of ordering. I look at other maker’s products but if MP has it I buy from them. The quality and customer service is 2nd to none.

Superb quality and great service. Best mold I have ever purchased!

The mold is a work of art and makes great bullets, standard MP Molds quality. Unfortunately, the bullets are too long for a Rossi 92 when crimped at the the crimp groove in 44 magnum. Check the oal for your application.

Everything was first class. I expect higher shipping cost given the location of MP Molds. This last purchase was my first shipped FedEx. Not a fan of FedEx but when they do well, it is a good experience. I have only read about others bad experiences.

PS The mold was as expected, excellent just like all the others.

Great mold, bullets shoot awesome, fit and finish are the best, and my favorite part ….drops bullets easily without a lot of sticking. Service is always top notch!

Only complaint is the way the mold/handles connect. Effective but very loose for my liking. Suspect it will make handling when hot/full a bit more tedious but not enough to be a major issue and I can always shim if it gives me any problems. A good solution would be thicker steel for the handles to reduce the free space or narrower slot on the side of the mold. that said the mold itself is of outstanding quality, the handles seem well made and service was good.

Super fast delivery. I haven’t got to use the molds yet, but the brass variant is looking great and as expected meets the high quality standard typical for MP molds
