Casting with pure lead it runs fine and gives great bullets with both the penta pins and the round pins. I smudge the cavities with a kerosene lamp and run the furnace at max temp to make the pure lead cast well. The bullets fall easily from he mold. Coated pure lead bullets weigh in at 139 grains. They expand beautifully at just over 1000fps. I will get some pictures next time I shoot into some into media. This is the second mold I have gotten from MP, and I am even more impressed with the quality and value of these molds. Highly recommend to any bullet caster.

Received this mold and was amazed by the workmanship. Delivery was on time. This thing is a piece of art. Unfortunately I only had it for about 2 hours when a visiting relative asked to look at it and didn’t realize it was two pieces resulting in one half falling to the concrete floor and denting all four corners. I could have cried when I seen the dents but I couldn’t say anything to her because it was an accident. Other than cosmetics I don’t think it will affect performance as I’ve yet to find time to use it.

M-P molds are the highest quality molds that I have had the pleasure of using since starting casting two years ago. I wouldn’t hesitate at all to recommend this mold to anyone weather they are just beginning casting or a seasoned veteran. Their style of hollow point pin is very easy to use and change between styles. The no lube groove model is a pleasure to use the bullets practically jump out of the mold, and the machine work is practically a work of art in itself. All in all one of the best products on the market.
