As every mold i have purchased from MP its excellent machining. Quality hardware that i not not have to search around to find replacements. Very consistant cavity to cavity.
Love the hollow point pins on every other MP mold i have purchased (about 10 so far) .
This one for subsonic 300 blackout could use some longer pins for better expansion.

Excellent quality molds and fast shipping, but have not used them yet. I am sure they will cast as great as they look and others have stated and yes Brass is heavy compared to Al. I don’t expect as many constant hours do to weight but I can swap to Al molds when tired to keep casting.

Everything went excellent from ordering all the way to delivery. MP Molds showed “best in class” performance by good order information status after ordering and a very quick transport to Sweden. I have not tested the mold yet, but I have assembled it with the hollow point pins. This is my first mold. The quality of the mold block looks very good and I really look forward to test it. One thing that I noticed after assembly is that 2 of 3 hollow point pins seems to jam a little bit in the guide holes. 1 of the hollow point pins ejects perfect. Lubricating did not solve it. This might be an adjustment issue, otherwise I will ask MP Mold staff for help. I am very pleased with MP Molds so far! I like their innovative design with multiple mold options. I’ve long waited for a bottle necked cartridge Bullet mold like this. One that is made to be powder coated and spoke of a need for one for several years on different cast Bullet forums. Glad to see MP has made such a mold and to my knowledge is the first.
The bore riding area is undersized so that the powder coat makes up the difference in size. Then the drive bands are sized during the normal sizing operation.
Most molds are from old designs that were made to use traditional lube and no allowance for the added dimension that the powder coat adds has been made to the mold. Using old mold designs and powder coating the bullets, resulted in a bullet that can only be partially corrected by sizing the bearing surface. While the bullet nose is left too big to chamber well. But MP has met the challenge and made such a mold.
Hopefully MP will apply this idea to other bottle necked cartridge Bullet designs. I’d like to see this concept in lighter weight bullets for use at super sonic velocities. And in different calibers.
I think the opportunities are endless.
Though it this Bullet is made for the 300 Blackout, I wish there was a way in this review to show the 5 shot group size I was able to get with this Bullet in a 300 Win. Mag. Thanks again MP for the great mold and fast service.

This is one fantastic mold, workmanship is excellent and the bullet itself is exceptional. Loading whisper quiet subs with 5.4 grains VV N32C Tin star for a Ruger American, pure lead bullets will deliver an almighty smack at under 100yds and are devastating on small game. A light powder coating will give super accurate bullets for the 300 Blackout, thanks for a great product.

Very nice mold makes very nice consistent weight bullets. I ordered gc mold. After powder coating with clear coat my alloy the bullets scale 208 grains with hollow point pins installed. Feeding a project with 308 Winchester and 300 Blackout.

Brilliant Mold. So well made and finished I nearly wanted to put it in a display case. Smoked it and cast perfect boolits. It likes a nice fast pour. Would Buy a deeper Hollow point pin set if they were available. Hopefully soon as I will order another mold or 2 from MP. Top tier.

Makes perfect hollowpoints, very quickly and uniformly. Very happy the nose is modified for powdercoating and does not require any independent sizing to chamber (right at .299-.300″ w Eastwood coat). Checks fit perfectly. The sprue plate cuts cleanly and neatly. The mold break in instructions – especially lead pencil on the pins – got me to perfect fill out within 50 rounds. Mold releases very cleanly thanks to no lube groove. Some reviewers recommend ‘honing’ the sprue plate bottm and corners to prevent drag – this might be a good idea, there is a slight scratch developing from the bottom-right corner. I would pay extra to have this done as a factory option, it’s not functionally needed but the mold is so pretty I’d want to keep it in the best condition possible, since this equipment can last for generations. Came with extra pins, clips, etc and shipping was very fast to the USA. Arrived in good condition. Could not be happier with the quality, the price is well worth the craftmanship.
