I have received the mold but have been out of town working for the past nine weeks and have not seen it. My confidence is high that the mold will be to my liking as MiHec is a craftsman with high standards and will not send out inferior garbage that could damage his reputation.
Granted, his pricing is higher than the major manufacturers but I have been down that undersized mold road and returned it twice and it need to go back again.
Do yourself a favor, buy/cry once. You can’t touch a quality HP gang mold for this price.

First I want to say this makes me the fourth or fifth mold from MP and I have been very happy with the previous molds. They are beautiful and cast very well. However, I am having trouble with this mold and I tried to contact MP twice for help and they won’t contact me back. I am very disappointed about that. The mold looks great but I can’t get good casts. I have been casting for several years and I have over 50 molds. Because of the lack of support I am only able to give 3 stars. The other molds I have purchased I would rate them at 5 stars.

The MP 227 Hornet HPGC mold drops 39 grain HP bullets with my alloy. This mold is flawless like my other MP molds. No hang ups with the HP pins. This is a brass mold that I have found holds the heat better than aluminum especially with the small calibers. A wonderful mold.

This is a top class mold and I have no issues with the workmanship and shipping to the UK was very smooth. Hollow point works well on rabbits at subsonic velocities but it’s looking like my rifle wants these driven fast to get best accuracy. I’m around 1,950fps as of this afternoon with plain base powder-coated 37gn bullets and a 2% tin alloy. 5 shot group at 50m was 0.72″ using 7gn of Li’lgun in a K Hornet. Hoping to fine tune further. Great mold. Very pleased.

The brass mould is absolutely beautiful, the fit and finish are excellent. Processing and shipping times are fantastic. I got the 227-640 GC mould for a 223 to download to 218Bee so I don’t waste so much edible meat in small game. It is the end of the hunting season so I haven’t hunted with this bullet. Should work fine though.
