I have not yet used the rifle caliber HP mold that I recently purchased, but visually, this mold holds to the same high standard of quality of the 2 previous pistol caliber HP molds that I have purchased from MP Molds. Both these previous molds cast very true to both bullet weight and size. I weigh and size each bullet I cast for uniformity because the other aluminum bullets molds that I have purchased require this consideration because they do not cast uniformly.
I will most surely purchase additional molds from MP Molds. My next target mold is the 62 to 67 grain 4 cavity molds for my .556

The mold casts very good bullets and the HP pins actually makes the mold drop the bullets almost easier than a standard mold. Coat the pins with a grafite pencil and you will have no problem dropping the bullets from the mold. The only thing i have to say on the negative side is that in cold weather (5-8 dgC)(lead temp 360dgC) l struggled a bit with ceeping the 4cav brass mold hot enough. I think this is due to the cold weather combined with small bullets in a rather large brass block. I will buy more molds from MPmolds, no question about it.
I just wish he would restok quicker on the 45-70 mold I need. 🙂
