My first Wadcutter mould from Miha – I have not been disappointed. With bullet trap lead, I cast very hot at digitally controlled 495°C (923°F) they have 232gr. with the hollow bottom on me / 272gr. without hollow bottom.
I will use it to create weak loads for my 6″ .460S&W Mag revolver, which will be a little over 1200joules (924ft.-lbs.), and I expect good accuracy as seen with wadcutter bullets. The first tests with 17gr. Vihtavuori N32C Tin Star were promising. However, I put the hollow point forward to prevent it from breaking off. The 5 impacts on the target 25m away were in the range of 45mm (1.77165″).

Meine erste Wadcutter-Kokille von Miha – ich bin nicht enttäuscht worden. Mit Kugelfangblei, ich gieße sehr heiß bei digital gesteuerten 495°C (923°F) haben sie mit dem Hohlboden 232gr. bei mir / 272gr. ohne Hohlboden.
Ich werde damit schwache Ladungen für meinen 6″ .460S&W Mag Revolver erstellen, die etwas mehr als 1200Joule (924ft.-lbs.) haben werden und verspreche mir eine gute Präzision, wie man sie von Wadcuttergeschossen her kennt. Die ersten Tests mit 17gr. Vihtavuori N32C Tin Star verliefen vielversprechend. Allerdings setze ich den Hohlboden nach vorn um ein Abreißen desselben zu verhindern. Die 5 Einschläge auf der 25m entfernten Scheibe lagen im Bereich von 45mm (1,77165″).
